Bob Cesca, featured contributor/columnist for the Huffington Post, found an interesting article at Myfoxtampabay.com (and when I say interesting I really mean sad, infuriating and sickening) the following is his comment with a quote from the article:

I've been meaning to post this for a couple days now. They're burning sea turtles alive.

VENICE, La. - A boat captain working to rescue sea turtles in the Gulf of Mexico says he has seen BP ships burning sea turtles and other wildlife alive.

Captain Mike Ellis said in an interview posted on You Tube that the boats are conducting controlled burns to get rid of the oil.

"They drag a boom between two shrimp boats and whatever gets caught between the two boats, they circle it up and catch it on fire. Once the turtles are in there, they can’t get out," Ellis said.

This is a holocaust against nature.

Death and Politics at the end of our world

Look at what mankind has wrought...

Amidst the mighty works of flight to the moon and explorations to the deep...

are the remains of the carcasses that were left behind while you gloried in you excesses.

Now death has come and with all your technology and marvels, you are unable to solve your own complications, unable to fathom the depths to which you will sink.

And there is always a helpless creature who will suffer the greatest- always the vulnerable who are mauled. 

By showing these images this afternoon on her television program on MSNBC, Rachel Maddow got it right. She's doing the reporting that needs to be done on the Oil disaster along the Gulf Coast. She's out there showing what the mainstream press is not going to show middle America and she needs to be applauded. Phillipe Cousteau on oil spill

The Florida Keys, third longest barrier reef in the world, is a dead zone. Ninety percent of the big fish, the tuna, the sharks, and other things, are already gone in the oceans. There's a dead zone in the Gulf Of Mexico every summer the size of New Jersey, where there's not enough oxygen for things to live. So it's not a question of 'Can the oceans take any more?' The oceans can't take any more. They couldn't take any more fifty years ago. The question is, when are we going to stop?
