Mondays can be harried and harassed. Time to get back to "the grind," the world of busyness beckons, wrapping us in a whirlwind of do-nexts.
Perhaps that makes it even more important to sit and listen to the whispers in the wind...
(the path to Mt. Evans last October)
The trees are talking....adding their voices to the music of the planet.
ReplyDeleteIt was a lovely afternoon. I'm so glad you enjoyed it too!
DeleteThat's so beautiful and peaceful... More zen is needed - every day!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! It's important to look for those moments each day.
DeleteIt was summer 2010 when I was living in my coworker's townhouse while he was stationed abroad with his family...The house was next to an area with lots of huge pine trees and birch trees..it was a lovely summer, hot days and breezy evenings, and I would often just sit in the backyard listening to the trees swaying in the wind in the early evening. I tell ya, it was amazing the connection I felt to the nature - it's even hard to put it into words. Just felt like those trees were alive and I was a part of nature.
ReplyDeleteLovely memory Zella! Thanks for sharing it!
DeleteOh you always find the most beautiful things to post.
ReplyDeleteWoW - It is Tuesday now for me, Monday madness behind me. But I really needed this today. Thanks for sharing. Ah, peace.
ReplyDeleteThe beauty is that you can play the video over and over again. I watched it several times.
DeleteI remember one night when I was still just a girl I was flipping through channels, stressed out and tired for no reason, and my mom suggested we go sit on the back porch for awhile. We just sat there, watching the birds hop around in the trees, and after a few minutes I felt revitalized, happy again; it was an incredible lesson.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post!
Nature does that for me too. One (and i say ONE because there are many things) of the things that drive me a bit bonkers during the winter is not being able to sit outside and soak the sun's energy, watch the clouds flitter across the skies and listen to the trees. Thanks Emily!
DeleteWith the drone of the plane or whatever with the leaves rustling, it made me sleepy. Very nice. That sound reminds me of summers at my grandparents hanging out in the sun on the lawn furniture.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't going to post the video with the planes but there was something soothing about it, so I used this one.
DeleteToday was Wednesday, but still felt like Monday to me! ;)
ReplyDeleteI had a rough Wednesday too. Something in the air???
ReplyDeleteI seriously needed some Zen today. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Thanks also for your comments on my blog the last few weeks about my Dad. I truly appreciate them.
