Delicious days. . .

I often go walking on the every other Friday I have off after I drop my son off at school-- I take my camera with the intent of adventuring and finding the world in a different light so that I can write about it. 
Today I will not compete with his quiet majesty.

Lost word

It is our habit, my love and I, to occasion the boscaresque foothills that lie but a half dollar's time from our front door. Armed with camera and a water bottle, we while away a Sunday afternoon occasionally meeting a fellow walker or cyclist* but otherwise the time is passed in pleasant conversation and awed appreciation for nature's kindnesses.

More Summer

So of an evening when we go out for a walk we are fortunate enough to have some pretty good views not very far from our front door.
In fact, at the middle school, just three blocks down we can sit on a picnic table and watch the sunset and the dramatic cloud formations and as on this lucky night spot a rainbow....
