*So I guess you'll have to excuse me if I'm feeling a little bit drained and this feels like a lame post... the one from yesterday was good though! And it's my son!

  1. gosh this sounds a lot like MY saturdays. only i talk about vegetables instead of books, bags instead of receipts.

actually, i don't think this is a lame post at all. far from it. i got a snapshot of the state of your mind after word -- one that i think a lot of people can relate to. to me, it was a kind of poetry....

  2. ha-- i meant "work" not "word." obviously. the quality of my mind is, perhaps, not what it could be. going to bed.... :)

  3. You probably feel like a broken record, but, if you said it with a smile each and every person probably thought they were the only one you said it to.

  5. Sounds like your day sometimes settles into a hypnotic rhythm, like a train on a track. My days are anything but like that, no rhythm, constant changes in direction, and that gets exhausting too.

  6. Sarah, I think it felt lame because it wasn't in the context of a larger piece. I do write this way sometimes, using repetition to show how mundane the atmosphere may feel but there's other stuff around it. So thanks!

Delores: I try to make everyone feel like they've had a moment at the library although sometimes it's not possible, there's too much stuff going on but sometimes I can do more than just pete and repete.

Carrie: I was pretty tired. I came home feeling like I'd been helping bunches of people and needed to rest. I don't know if I feel rested today! And tomorrow is another work day!

Botanist: I like it when my job is a bit more mixed in the day (Saturday's are just more customer service) but I can see that having it be too tumultuous would be draining.
